Tonje Ciclie Nordgaard is a well renowned award winning film director from Norway. She has directed narrative films, poetic experimental films, documentaries, music videos, safety videos, commercials and infomercials in the US as well as in Norway. She has a Masters Degree in film production from Ohio University, as well as education in film, video and television from Norway. Her films have been presented and awarded in numerous universities and film festivals around the world. Some of her creations are as follows.

This is a  story which tells the search for self respect when you can no longer do what you love the most.

A story about a travel through the memories of the love and marriage of an ageing man as Parkinson's decease and strokes starts taking his abilities away from him. He loves fishing, but he has to redefine who he is when he realizes that he might not be able to go fishing again. Every fishing trip may be the last one. The key elements in this film are Love dreams and longing and the search for self respect during a time of major changes.

Victoria finds A White Summer Hat by the lake. She discovers that her boyfriend is cheating on her, and The Hat becomes the sign of a new start. She throws her boyfriend out and starts looking for new avenues ! Amazingly enough she meets the man of her fantasy, and he says he will call. Victoria decides to take charge of the situation and leaves him a message. Accidentally she dials the wrong number, and a stranger shows up insisting on going on the date with her. He doesn't believe in accidents, and argues the she after all did invite him.

This is the story about three women (Victoria, Hanna, Patricia) in different stages of life, all searching for Love. The White Summer Hat goes from one woman to the other careering its magic and message of change. The three women are each other's supportive angles and their lives are mysteriously filtered into each other.

Nina goes to visit her ex-boyfriend, but sees him with another woman. Furious Nina breaks his bedroom window, and runs away to escape his anger. Her car breaks down and she desperately has to find a way to leave town before her ex finds her. Her boring sister Monica is her last hope, but Monica does not want to help. Nina is in panic. The angry ex-boyfriend finds Monica's house to punish Nina. He yells and insults about Nina, and the usually calm Monica flips. After finally getting rid of him she decides to leaves town with Nina. The two sisters have a goal. They find a hill and starts screaming their lungs out in an attempt to "get it all out" like the shrink suggested for Nina. The strong way of expressing them selves bring them both to new conclusions and binds them together as sisters.

These Little Things 
"These Little Things" plays with encouragements and conversations between strangers and relations throughout a day. Strangers play a big part in every person's life. This film brushes through moments in several people's life as their opinions are shaped and formed from what they see and feel. "These Little Things" is a poetic and colorful experience where nature makes a special impact on the story.

Through a playful montage "Visiting Home" brings a family together to celebrate Christmas. The memories and familiar irritations come close to mind and when the family goes through their traditions and memories.
